Basic Faux Glazing, in it's simplest form as a Faux Finish, whether Sponging, Ragging, Stried, Color Wash, manipulated by tool or liquid, applied by foam brushes, chip brushes, pushed by towels, or softened with badger brushes, adds a beautiful patina and movement to any room, wall, cabinet, column, furniture and molding. Faux Painting, whether applied in 1 layer and color, or several colors and layers to together, the application techniques and color choices are endless. The amount of depth and feel of texture is up to the client, artist or decorator to decide. The ability to select the correct background paint color and pigmented glaze color or colors in any type of Faux Finish for your room is one of the attributes that sets Classic Wall Works apart from many Faux Finishers and companies in NJ, NY and PA.
All finishes by Classic Wall Works are custom made using not only the finest pigments and glaze to achieve a Faux or Decorative Finish, but the highest quality base paint as well. The application of the perfect single glaze color adds that extra depth, feel and movement to your walls that is worlds away from a simple flat wall color. Add several colors together, drawn from colors from the room's furniture, fixtures, cabinets, flooring and window treatments and you have the perfect compliment and ambience for any room. Basic Faux Glazing, in it's softer forms as Faux Painting, is a perfect compliment for all areas, but is particularly well suited for large areas and walls. One thing I always tell my clients when viewing all samples. "They are all custom colored by hand. Concentrate on the feel and general look of the finish, how busy or soft it is. If it has the correct feel for the room you are envisioning it in. After that hurdle, the colors used can be changed completely, or shifted just slightly. The texture can be made more or less busy. It is all adjustable when samples are made. These are not cookie cutter finishes but custom hand made wall finishes. It is the feel of the finish first in relation to the room and it's elements, then the fine tuning can begin."
